Summer Programming 2023

Promoting Constructive Use of Time

OHuddle cares about promoting structured opportunities for your mentee.  Below are some of the systems we have put into place to help you to support your student with opportunities that match with their interests this summer.

FINDSPARKS

Inventory your student to inquire about their interests in participating in summer opportunities by first finding their sparks.

Please give a copy to your Site Coordinator.

WHAT'S a SPARK?

  • A special quality, skill, or interest that lights us up.

  • Something we are passionate about.

  • Something that gives us joy.

  • The thing about us that is good, beautiful, and useful to the world.

FINDOPPORTUNITY

Use what you learned from the above inventory to check out summer opportunities for your student below.

Your OHuddle Site Coordinator can assist you in filling out the form with your mentee, soliciting scholarships and securing parent signatures.

IGNITING your SPARK

(non-mentored community opportunities)

Below are some of the Wayne County Resources that may foster asset development for your student's sparks.  These are opportunities outside of the OHuddle umbrella.  Mentors do not typically attend these experiences with their youth.

Talk to your your mentee about what they might like to participate in and let the Site Coordinator know if they would like to complete an application:

CONNECT with your MENTOR

Below are some of the 2023 summer opportunities only available to OHuddle mentors and students.  Both mentor and student are encouraged to attend together but OHuddle cannot guarantee attendance and welcomes a mentor or mentee to attend if their counterpart cancels last minute.

Sign up through /direct questions to your Site Coordinator.
