Initial training to become an OHuddle mentor
URBAN YOUTH MENTORING
Section 007 of the University of Akron's 701 Urban Youth Mentoring Course is scheduled from 3 to 5:30pm Thursdays and will take place at the Boys and Girls Club of Wooster, located in Edgewood Middle School. Please arrive promptly at 3pm to the Boys and Girls Club entrance.
If you have questions, please contact instructor Sara Reith. We look forward to your engagement in this course. Below are some details about what to expect in your first class. Please be sure to bring a copy of your background check to your first class.
We will review and complete the first week's lesson together so no need to complete anything other than the instructions in the syllabus below.

We've evolved this training through the years from two 90 minute trainings to one 45 minute video. We respect your time! But that means that you don't want to miss this information!

STEP 3: SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION
Turn in your Work
Please complete the online application in the "Mentor Application" button. Then save a copy of the commitment pledge with your name in the title. (ie: Sara Reith Commitment Pledge.pdf) and email it to email@example.com
If you want to be a total rock star, you can try to electronically sign your commitment pledge using the instructions below. This will help us to skip a step moving forward. Here is how:
1. Click the marker icon to edit
2. Click the signature block
3. Create a signature and sign on your track pad (mouse)
4. Drag the signature to the line.
